You should also make a high pressure coal boiler (The GT one, not RC) which will output almost as much as 3 simple solar boilers/small coal boilers while using less coal (when fully heated up). A railcraft water tank should be a major objective in the early steam age.

Using the boiler directly for powering a turbine is pretty much ill advised, you'll be using tons of fuelwood heaters to get any heat up for boiling rate. Best use of the boiler really is as a steam accumulator that you can dump into a turbine if needed. Minimal water volume, maximum steam volume. This is a great topic.

2019/7/29 · Not that I disagree that lava is a good fuel, just that using them in a boiler is seriously bad. Instead, use them in GT thermal generator (30k EU/Bucket), Magma Engine (18k MJ/bucket). If you really want to use boiler, tree farm is probably the easiest one you can feasibly set up. 63 max size HP boiler is crazy amount of resources to say the word "efficient"

Help using GT's lava boiler. I have a high pressure lava boiler (running GT and RC) that comes from GregTech, but when I try to put tins of lava in, I can't seem to get it to actually use them. The wiki is still pretty broken and I'm totally confused. 7 comments. 50% Upvoted.
